Armenia can reconsider its relations with EU, NATO - expert![]() September 3, 2012 - 13:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia can reconsider its relations with the EU and NATO following the extradition of Azeri murderer Ramil Safarov, head of the Regional Studies Center (RSC) said. “The recent development proved that Armenia should rely on its own strength,” Richard Giragosian told a news conference in Yerevan. “This is a very serious incident for the international community and reaction to it is very important. If Azerbaijan doesn’t get a tough response, Armenia should revisit its relations with international institutions,” he said. Dwelling on further steps Armenia should take, Giragosian mentioned withdrawal from talks with Azerbaijan. As to the U.S. reaction, the expert said it was impressive enough, given the silence on Russia’s part. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
