CIS CUSTOM SERVICES TO BE GRANTED ACCESS TO CEN

PanARMENIAN.Net - A two-day seminar for heads of National Intelligence Liaison Office of the customs services of the CIS states was organized by RILO-Moscow at the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, reported Russian FCS Press Service. The seminar was devoted to the work with the World Customs Organization (WCO) Customs Enforcement Network (CEN). Representatives of National Intelligence Liaison Office of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the seminar. Officers of the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Western Europe (RILO-Cologne) were WCO instructors at the seminar. National Intelligence Liaison Office heads acquired practical skills for work with the CEN, studied the basic principles using it real-time, rules for entering data on detaining various types of contrabands, getting new statistical data and their analysis. The participation in the seminar is the first step for direct access to the CEN for the National Intelligence Liaison Offices of RILO-Moscow participant states. Direct access to the CEN will allow reducing the time of information passage to the WCO global base. At the same time RILO-Moscow will be able to notable enhance the analytical component of its activities.
