Armenian MP: Azerbaijan may go beyond control![]() October 8, 2012 - 13:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations has expressed concerns over Azerbaijan’s possible intensification of efforts to shift the balance of power in the region through Turkish military intervention in the Syrian conflict. “Azerbaijan may go beyond control,” Artak Zakaryan said, stressing the need for Armenia to take active diplomatic steps to prevent threats to regional stability. However, he did not rule out that the international community, including Russia, may exert pressure on Azerbaijan to avert any change of the balance of forces in the region. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
