ARMENIANS OF CALIFORNIA CELEBRATE 1600-TH ANNIVERSARY OF CREATION OF ARMENIAN WRITTEN LANGUAGE

PanARMENIAN.Net - On the occasion of the 1600th anniversary of the creation of the Armenian written language,/b> a range of events will be organized in Los Angeles with the support of the Consulate General of Armenia within 2005, reported the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. October 24-28 drawing and composition contests are planned in Californian colleges. A contest exhibition of works of young artists will be organized in June-July. Besides, a scientific seminar on the Armenian language will be held. October 2 a large meeting with representatives of the Glendale Administration will be organized in Glendale Alex Theater, at which reports on the Armenian written language and Armenian studies will be presented.
