Tom Cruise performs car chase stunt in “Jack Reacher” video (video) December 21, 2012 - 13:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Jack Reacher has debuted a new featurette exclusively through Digital Spy, the entertainment news agency said. The promo video shines a light on the high-octane car chase at the centre of director Christopher McQuarrie's thriller. Star and producer Tom Cruise performed all his own driving stunts in the sequence. Speaking to Digital Spy at the recent London press day for Jack Reacher, McQuarrie said that he found the set-piece less challenging to shoot than "two people in a diner having a conversation". "Action to me is something very fun to shoot. The challenge in most car chases is you're trying to hide the fact that it's not the actor driving," McQuarrie said. "The challenge here was the exact opposite. We were trying to find a way to show that it was always Tom driving. He's literally driving in every stunt sequence." Jack Reacher opens in cinemas on December 26. Top stories The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest.
