Armenia must pursue balanced foreign policy – ANC leader![]() December 22, 2012 - 12:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia must hold neither a pro-Western, nor pro-Russian position, leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc Levon Ter-Petrossian said. “Unilateral stance helps the country establish cordial relations, however it also draws enemies,” he said at Dec 22 congress of Armenian National Movement (ANM), noting anti-American and anti-Russian stances more destructive. Dwelling on the standpoint claiming Armenian President is nominated by superpowers, the bloc leader slammed it as absurdity. “Neither the U.S., nor Russia will ever be able to set up a political force in Armenia,” Ter-Petrossian said. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
