Levon Aronian retains 3rd spot in FIDE rankings

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 1, FIDE published the list of strongest chess players of the world, with Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian retaining third spot with 2809 points.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway) tops the list with 2872 points; Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik is 3rd with 2810 points.

Armenian grandmaster Vladimir Akopian is 45th with 2704 points; Sergei Movsesian is 54th with 2695 points; Gabriel Sargissian is 80th with 2666 points.

Armenia’s 2013 chess champion Tigran Petrosian comes 82nd with 2663 points.
