CIS MILITARY REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS AIR SECURITY ISSUES

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today a conference of CIS MOD representatives on issues of use and enhancement of a joint system of radar recognition of air, above-water and ground objects is opening in Moscow. As reported by the CIS Military Headquarters, the joint radar recognition secures air force flights of CIS member states, rules out cases of uncontrolled presence of trespasser objects in the air space, as well as unintentional hitting of own objects by means of own arms. Providing the armed forces with a reliable radar recognition of air, above-water and ground objects is a component of military security of states and a priority military efficiency enhancement task, CIS Headquarters representatives consider. Issues demanding working out joint views of on implementation of intergovernmental agreements are included in the agenda of the four-day meeting. Military representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine are expected to take part in the event, reported Kazinform.
