Lucescu: Borussia match winner to play in Champions League final

PanARMENIAN.Net - FC Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Mircea Lucescu said he attended FC Borussia’s cup decider with Bayern, ahead of the match against Borussia at the BVB Stadion Dortmund.

“It was important to see Borussia face off against a strong club, like Bayern. There were two different halves. Tomorrow we are going to face the team that sprang a surprise at the Champions league group stage, despite the football they display. In each match, whether it was against Manchester City, Real or Ajax, they created at least six or seven scoring chances. In Donetsk they didn’t create such goal-scoring opportunities, except for the episode when we wrongly handled the ball in the penalty area, which was followed by returning it to Lewandowski,” FC Shakhtar official website quoted the coach as saying.

“Naturally, Borussia players will be maximally motivated. We will watch a very entertaining football. I am sure that the winner will probably play in the Champions League final this year,” Lucescu said.
