At May 6 press conference, the head of Federation of youth clubs of Armenia (FYCA) Atom Mkhitaryan slammed the long queues of voters, election commission members’ attitude and voter list inaccuracies. Chairman of the Electoral Systems Center NGO Vahram Vardanyan, in turn, noted that both the representatives of the ruling authorities and the opposition committed election violations. “Pressure was exerted particularly by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Orinats Yerkir and Prosperous Armenia parties,” he said. The NGO head said that the violations didn’t affect the election results, with the abuse of the administrative resources and distribution of election bribes reported before the polling day. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
