Aharon Adibekyan told May 6 press conference that the ratings of Taron Margaryan, who topped the list of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) during Yerevan city council polls, were close to those of RPA itself. “Prosperous Armenia party restored its positions. Heritage party, the initiator of Hello Yerevan bloc, retained Raffi Hovanissian’s 8% rating,” the sociologist said. Dwelling on the political forces that failed to pass the election threshold, he noted it common for ARF Dashnaktsutyun and Orinats Yerkir to weaken their positions after halting the cooperation with the ruling authorities. “As for the Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc, it turned into Armenian National Movement after declaring itself a party,” the sociologist said. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
