Armenian FM, Montenegrin minister negotiate economic deal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met on May 7 with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro Igor Lukšić .

Cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education, tourism, intensification of a political dialogue between the two countries, as well as creation of collaboration mechanisms in international organizations were in the focus of the discussion. Minister Nalbandian briefed the official on Armenia’s and international community’s steps aimed at Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.

Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro, in turn noted that the visit will foster the cooperation between the two counties.

“We mainly focused on economic cooperation prospects and negotiated signing of an economic agreement. A decision was also taken to create a flexible visa regime and operate charter flights,” he said.

Minister Lukšić further voiced hope that Armenia-Montenegro business forum will contribute to the development of bilateral relations, with measures to be taken to deepen the cooperation between the two capital cities.
