Mamedov: One Can Agree that Karabakh Settlement in 2006 Possible

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Leaders and representatives of those states and international organizations interested in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement are apt to view 2006 as the year of the conflict settlement. As a matter of fact one should agree with the statement, as the Azerbaijani government has exerted serious effort for the conflict settlement. This lead to the strengthening of Azerbaijan's position on Nagorno Karabakh," head of the department of foreign relations at the Azerbaijani president administration Novruz Mamedov stated. "If we watch the processes in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus we will see that the international community is interested in establishment of peace and stability in the region. Taking into account the situation we hope that the Armenian party will give a fair estimate to the situation and show constructive attitude to the conflict settlement. If this happens progress is possible," he noted, APA news agency reported.
