Russia reportedly starts military hardware deliveries to Azerbaijan![]() June 18, 2013 - 13:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia has reportedly started deliveries of military hardware, including tanks and armored vehicles to Azerbaijan. The deal is estimated at $700mln-$1bln, Vedomosti newspaper reported citing sources in the Russian defense industry. According to the paper, the deliveries started in spring 2013 but no official commented on the deal, which envisages provision of 94 tanks T-90S, 100 armored vehicles as well as flame-throwers, smirch rocket launchers and big guns. At the same time, the equipment essential for their maintenance will also be delivered. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
