Sweden Frankly Interested in Strengthening Relations with ArmeniaFebruary 9, 2006 - 15:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During yesterday's press briefing upon the completion of the meeting between Armenian President Robert Kocharian and Swedish Premier Goran Persson, Mr. Persson stated situation in the South Caucasus, Armenia-Turkish relations, Karabakh settlement prospects were discussed. Kocharian was pleased with the outcomes of the meeting. The Swedish PM showed frank interest towards strengthening relations with Armenia. «Our discussion over regional issues was successful,» Kocharian said. The parties stated they agreed to continue the dialogue after Armenia's Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy is approved. An interstate agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments was signed after the Armenian-Swedish talks.
