As EU Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighborhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner stated at a press conference in Yerevan, it is very important for the OSCE Minsk Group not only to hold talks but also submit proposals to the parties to conflict. "It is important for the Co-chairs and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Karel De Gucht to have common approaches towards the Karabakh conflict settlement," she said. For his part, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian noted that the process of European integration of the region can create a favorable atmosphere for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
