Turkish shepherd shot dead at Armenian border

PanARMENIAN.Net - Thirty-five-year-old Turkish shepherd Mustafa Ülker, who crossed to the Armenian side to retrieve a lost sheep, was shot dead by frontier guards, Kars Governor Eyüp Tepe said on Thursday, Aug 1, according to Today’s Zaman.

Ülker illegally crossed into Armenia from the Arpaçay district of Kars on Wednesday.

The Armenian border service confirmed the incident to PanARMENIAN.Net

“The Armenian side wants to return the body. Our brigade's assistant commander and the district governor are at the border,” said Tepe.
