  ARMENIA OBSERVES PROVISIONS OF CONVENTION FOR NATIONAL MINORITY PROTECTIONJanuary 16, 2003 - 21:56 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yesterday the Council of Europe passed a resolution on fulfilling the provisions of the Framework Convention for the protection of national minorities. According to the report of the press service of the foreign ministry of Armenia, the document notes that at present an atmosphere of intercultural accord and respect is formed in Armenia, as well as emphasizes the Armenian government's apparent urge to observe the Convention provisions. At the same time it notes the need for taking steps in various spheres of the public life directed at national minorities.
