Amount of private remittances to Armenia grows dramatically

PanARMENIAN.Net - $942 mln was transferred to individuals through the Armenian banking system in January-July 2013, increasing 5 times against the same period in 2012 ($175,6 mln).

According to Armenian Central Bank’s monthly bulletin, the amount of remittances from Armenia totaled $175,9 mln in January-July 2013, with the net cash inflow grossing $760 mln against $152,7 last year.

Russia keeps the biggest share of remittances to Armenia - $697 mln, followed by the U.S. - $27,191 mln, Kazakhstan - $11,4 mln and France - $4,7 mln, Germany - $2,98 mln, Ukraine - $1,3 mln, UAE - $1,2 mln and Spain - $1,1 mln.
