Lithuanian President to Arrive in Armenia April 25April 21, 2006 - 15:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - By invitation of Armenian President Robert Kocharian April 25-26 Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus will pay a formal call to Armenia, reported the RA leader's press service. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the ties between the states, determine principal tasks and direction of economic cooperation and encourage scientific, education and cultural relations. April 25 Robert Kocharian and Valdas Adamkus will hold a tete-a-tete meeting to be followed by talks in expanded composition. A governmental agreement on stimulation and mutual protection of investments will be signed. Within the visit framework Mr. Adamkus will meet with Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan, parliament Vice-speaker Tigran Torosian, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II and teaching staff and the students of the Yerevan State University. The Lithuanian delegation will also attend the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and Armenian Genocide Museum, the Depository of Ancient Manuscripts of Matenadaran as well as Sergey Parajanov's house-museum.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
