Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams to topline “Ezekiel Moss”

The latest hot property to drop into the Berlin market will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams, both of whom have drawn heat during awards season, Screen Daily reported.

Philip Seymour Hoffman will direct the Prohibition Era story from a screenplay by Keith Bunin.

Ezekiel Moss centers on a mysterious man who visits a widow and her son in a religiously conservative community and appears to possess the ability to communicate with the dead.

Likely Story’s Anthony Bregman, PalmStar Media Capital’s Kevin Frakes, Merced Media Partners’ Raj Brinder Singh and Cathy Schulman of Mandalay Vision are producing.

Singh recently collaborated with Exclusive Media on Rush, on which he served as co-executive producer.

Adams recently earned an Oscar nomination for her lead role in American Hustle, while Gyllenhaal has drawn wide acclaim for his performance opposite Hugh Jackman in Prisoners.
