  Armenian soldier killed as Azeris attempt to penetrate into Karabakh July 26, 2014 - 14:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani troops made an attempt Saturday, July 26, to penetrate into the territory of the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic. According to the NKR defense army’s press service, the saboteurs were driven back, suffering losses and leaving technical devices and armament. Armenian soldier Khachatur Basdasyan, 20, was killed. Investigation is under way. RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said two more soldiers were injured. 550 ceasefire violations by Azeri armed forces were reported at the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan from July 20-26. Azerbaijan fired over 5000 shots from various caliber weapons towards Karabakh positions. The NKR army took retaliatory measures.
