OVER 100 OBSERVERS FROM EUROPE TO ARRIVE FOR ARMENIAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONSDecember 10, 2002 - 22:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A group of experts of the Bureau of democracy and human rights will arrive in Yerevan December 11 to conduct preparatory works for the coming presidential elections in Armenia planned February 19, 2003. As Roy Reeve, the head of OSCE mission in Armenia, told journalists today, the European experts intend to study the situation and to determine the number of observers necessary for monitoring the elections. In his words, by the time of the elections some one hundred observers from Europe will arrive in Armenia.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
