Time to redouble efforts for settling Karabakh conflict, Lavrov says

PanARMENIAN.Net - It is high time to intensify efforts for settling the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Russia's Foreign Minister said Friday, July 17.

"We have been working in line with agreements of OSCE Minsk Group with our American and French Co-chairs," Sergei Lavrov said during a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Elmar Mammadyarov. "I believe, we'll be able to make progress in the near future."

Mammadyarov, in turn, said that culminating lengthy negotiations on the settlement of Iran nuclear program gives hope that the Karabakh conflict will also be resolved. "The settlement gets back on track for early breakthrough," the Azeri FM noted.
