Philips TV uses projectors to add immersionSeptember 4, 2015 - 11:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Philips has unveiled a new television at the IFA trade show, and it sounds like one of the most immersive sets ever made, Digital Spy reports. The Philips AmbiLux TV is a 65-inch 4K beast that uses nine rear-mounted pico projectors to extend the on-screen image onto the wall behind. Thanks to the set's ultra-thin bezels, the display should meet the projected imagery almost seamlessly. Philips Hue technology bathes the entire room in light emitted from the screen for a 360-degree experience, while Ambilight Music Mode beams a halo of light shaped by the audio that is playing. Running the Android operating system, the AmbiLux TV upscales images to Ultra-HD, and comes with a QWERTY remote and swipe pad. Pricing and a release date for the Philips AmbiLux TV are yet to be announced. Photo: Philips Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
