381 POLITICAL PRISONERS IN AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the number of political prisoners in Azerbaijan is 381. As reported by "Arminfo" agency referring to Azeri mass media, chairman of the federation of human rights organizations of Azerbaijan Leyla Yunus stated it. In her words, Azeri journalist Irada Huseynova, who is in Moscow at present, may be added to them in the near future. She is accused of "insulting the honor and dignity of the Azeri President." Thereupon the country ministry of interior has addressed the law-enforcement bodies of Russia requesting extradition of the journalist to her native land. The other day the Moscow bodies of internal affairs have detained and then released her.
