American-Armenians thank Pope for Genocide recognition

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian community of Philadelphia expressed gratitude to Pope Francis for the statement on the Armenian Genocide, RFE/RL Armenian Service reports.

The Armenians carried banners with the inscription “Thank you, Pope Francis, for Armenian Genocide recognition. We will never forget.”

The Pope visited the United States Wednesday, September 23 for the first time and met with the U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday.
