Karen Andreasyan resigns as Armenia Human Rights Defender

PanARMENIAN.Net - Human Rights Defender of Armenia has submitted a letter of resignation.

Karen Andreasyan shared the news of his resignation in a Facebook post.

Thanking all his colleagues for collaboration, the public advocate expressed hope that the state and the society will always prioritize protection of human rights.

According to the Facebook post, no further comments will be provided.

Andreasyan assumed his responsibilities as Human Rights Defender of Armenia on March 3, 2011.
