Blair: It is Important EU Not to Close Door to Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - It's very important for the European Union not to close door to Turkey, Tony Blair, the Prime Minister of Great Britain stated. Blair said that a solid direction was drawn for the continuation of the enlargement process if the necessary requirements for membership are met. "This is an important moment for the EU. Despite all the difficulties, the EU has taken a clear decision," Blair underscored, reports The New Anatolian.

It is worth mentioning that the British Prime Minister visited Ankara on Friday, where he expressed his support to his Turkish counterpart Rajap Erdoghan in Turkey's EU bid.
