WADA head says will reanalyze Russia doping report

PanARMENIAN.Net - World Anti-Doping Agency president Craig Reedie said he will "reanalyze" the report into systematic doping in Russian track and field to determine whether investigations are needed into other sports, the Associated Press reports.

Reedie said he will consider potential inquiries into other Russian sports, and track and field in other countries, after an appeal from the WADA athletes' commission.

Commission chairwoman Beckie Scott said the response was "unsatisfactory" to evidence contained in the report by an independent WADA commission published in November.

The inquiry led by former WADA president Dick Pound detailed state-supported doping in Russian track and field and suggested it extended to other sports in Russia.

Reedie told a WADA conference on Monday that he spoke with Scott and promised to "re-engage" with Pound's team and sports federations and anti-doping officials.
