Artur Aghabekyan dismissed from post of Deputy Defense MinisterFebruary 23, 2007 - 18:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on dismissing Artur Aghabekyan from the post of Deputy Defense Minister, reports the RA leader's press office. Aghabekyan explained his resignation by an intention to engage in politics and participate in the forthcoming parliamentary election. During the tenure of his office Artur Aghabekyan's membership in ARF Dashnaktsutyun was suspended.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
