EU says ready to assist in Karabakh talks’ resumption in OSCE format

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno Karabakh conflict has no military solution; the European Union supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs for an exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict, ready to back the resumption of talks in this format, the EU‬ Special Representative for the South Caucasus said Tuesday, May 10.

The possibility of resumption of negotiations was among the issues discussed by Herbert Salber and Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan at a Yerevan-hosted meeting.

In this context, Ohanyan drew Salber’s attention to Azerbaijan’s violation of the verbal agreement on the ceasefire along the line of contact with Karabakh.

Also, the Minister called for a targeted condemnation by the international community, urging to implement mechanisms for investigating border incidents and stressing the need for an atmosphere of trust.
