Azerbaijan violates ceasefire, employs sniper rifles on Karabakh frontline

PanARMENIAN.Net - 28 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered along the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh on the night of July 24-25.

Azeri troops, in particular, used various caliber firearms to fire over 300 shots towards the Armenian positions, also employing sniper rifles in some directions.

Karabakh Defense Army troops mainly refrained from retaliating and took preventive measures only in case of extreme necessity.

On the night of July 22-23, at around 12:10 am, a Karabakh conscript soldier, Mher Ziloyan (b. 1991) received a gunshot wound in the Azerbaijani fire on the frontline.

The serviceman was immediately hospitalized, his condition is assessed as satisfactory. An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.
