Fortress of Van on UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Fortress of Van in the eastern province of the same name in Turkey was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

UNESCO Turkish National Commission President Prof. Ocal Oguz said that the decision was taken by the UN agency in April.

Van Fortress is a historic massive stone fortification built during the 9th to 7th centuries BC, and is the largest example of its kind.
