OSCE MG Russian Co-Chair refused to answer questions of Azeri journalistsMay 25, 2007 - 17:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier of France and Yuri Merzlyakov of Russia arrived in Baku from Yerevan yesterday in the evening. Answering questions of journalists in the airport after H. Aliev, the French mediator informed that they had meetings with President Robert Kocharian, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian in Armenia. In Bernard Fassier's opinion meetings were useful, "We build a stage for talks, and one of the bricks was laid in Yerevan. We believe that we will manage to lay several more bricks in Baku." Fassier noted that agreed issues will be discussed with Azeri authorities, which concern the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. Meanwhile the Russian Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov refused to make comment for journalists, Bakililar.az reports. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
