Slovak MFA: Kosovo won't be precedent for Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Kosovo's independence can't be a precedent for other conflicts including the Nagorno Karabakh one, Mrs. Olga Algaerova, State Secretary, first Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, told a news conference in Yerevan. "The Kosovo and Karabakh conflicts are different. These territories belong to different political systems and different cultures. Settlement of each conflict bases on these factors," she said.

Turkey's bid to the EU is conditioned by a number of demands Europe abides by, according to her. "Turkey may become EU member only is it fulfills the demands. Slovakia, as a EU member state, shares this view," Mrs. Algaerova said.
