French Socialists stand for continuation of EU-Turkey talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - "French Socialists stand for continuation of the EU-Turkey talks. However, the first condition we set is recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in 1915," First Secretary of the French Socialist Party Francois Hollande told a news conference in Yerevan.

"The second condition for successful talks is improvement of Turkey's relations with the neighbor states, specifically Armenia. We think that we can advance via talks only. It refers to peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh problem as well. Negotiations with Turkey can produce effect," Mr Hollande noted.
