Miguel Sapochnik won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series, thanks to his work in "Game of Thrones" for "The Battle of the Bastards", AceShowbiz said. Becky Martin, meanwhile, took home Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for "Veep" episode called "Inauguration". Other directors who got feted this year included the directors behind "The Night Of", "Saturday Night Live" and "O.J.: Made in America". Besides handing out awards to TV directors, the DGA members recognized the best directors in movie. Damien Chazelle won Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature Film for "La La Land" and Garth Davis grabbed Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a First-Time Feature Film for his big-screen debut "Lion".
