Armenia assumes responsibility of NKR security guarantor

PanARMENIAN.Net - "With adopting the Military Doctrine, Armenia assumes the responsibility of guarantor of NKR people's security and the way of development they have chosen," Armenian Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan said during expert and public debate on draft Military Doctrine.



"The Military Doctrine sets non-aggression as the priority principle. However, Armenia undertakes to neutralize any threat of military attack. The Doctrine also bases on the principle of development of equal and friendly relations with allies and partners, consolidation of peace and stability, maintenance of military balance and creation of atmosphere of general security," he said.



"Proceeding from its own interests, Armenia also attends to interests of its allies and partners as well as the international commitments it has undertaken," the Minister said, IA Regnum reports.
