  WASHINGTON HIGHLY APPRECIATES ARMENIAN AND AZERI HEADS' ASSISTANCE IN PEACEFUL TALKS ON KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENTSeptember 28, 2002 - 20:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The US administration highly appreciates the assistance of the heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the peaceful talks on the Karabakh conflict settlement. Spokesman of the US embassy in Azerbaijan James Stuart has stated that in his interview with "Turan" agency. In his words, Washington expects the OSCE Minsk group's activity and progress in achievement of stabile peace in the region in the nearest future. At that the spokesman noted, the USA attaches a great importance to the democratic activities in Armenia and Azerbaijan. "The democratization process will strengthen the basis for achievement of peace and cooperation in the region, and for establishment of civilized society and leadership of the law", noted James Stuart.
