Armenian's Aronian reaches World Chess Cup 1/8 elimination round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian's Levon Aronian defeated Maxim Matlakov at a tie-break of the World Chess Cup, currently underway in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The Armenian grandmaster left no chances for his opponent to counterattack and reached the the 1/8 elimination round.

Meanwhile, world champion Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura and Vladimir Kramnik have already been left out of the tournament.
