Spoilers: "Game Of Thrones" bosses, stars reveal Season 8 detailsDecember 21, 2017 - 13:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Game Of Thrones" bosses have confirmed the death of a beloved fan favourite ahead of the show's eighth season, while star Kit Harington raised the bar of expectation for the final installment of the show. Benjen Stark (played by Joseph Mawle) came to Jon’s ( Harington) aid just in the nick of time, following the dramatic events of season seven’s Beyond The Wall episode that saw the group forced to flee from an impending stampede of White Walkers. The former First Ranger of the Night’s Watch had always looked out for his nephew, and his death was a poignant climax that saw the King of the North devastated to say goodbye. But despite his heroic ending, fans aren’t convinced that that was his ultimate demise, until now. Season seven’s DVD commentary of the HBO fantasy series features a rundown by the episode’s director Alan Taylor, and he squashes the idea once and for all. “He meets his end here," he says finally. Harington, in an interview with Deadline, said that the show's ending was "kind of" sinking in and said: "It's a lot of—it's just bigger than it's ever been! It is sinking in, it's just quite emotional. I don't know how I'm going to feel sometime next year when I've finished. It's quite a sudden shift, I guess, but it feels like the right time." The actor also confirmed that he would be headed to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the show has been filming most of its scenes. Meanwhile, Bran Stark actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright has warned that fans shouldn’t be expecting a happy ending season eight’s epic conclusion. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he admitted: “It won’t go the way some people want. “It will be too happy for some people, or too sad, or too whatever. That’s the nature of an ending.” The phenomenal HBO series based on George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga will air its eighth and final season sometime in 2018 or 2019. Harington's character, Jon Snow, was one of the vital people in the plot who convinced the entire Westeros that a Great War against its now-main adversaries, the White Walkers, was coming as winter arrived in the fictional continent.
