ADZHARIA HEAD DISCUSSED PROBLEMS OF LOCAL ARMENIANSSeptember 19, 2002 - 22:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A wide range of issues the Armenians of Adzharia autonomous republic of Georgia are concerned with was discussed at the meeting of the representatives of the Armenian community of Adzharia and the head of the republic Aslan Abashidze. As the "A-Info' agency reports, Abashidze noted the active role of local Armenians in the political and economic spheres in Adzharia and their contribution to the prosperity of the republic. In their turn, the community members expressed gratitude to the Adzharia's head for all possible support to the Armenians in Adzharia.Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
