Armenia obliged to fulfill all PACE obligations by 2009June 26, 2008 - 13:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - With 24 votes in favor, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution on Armenia, which obliged the country to fulfill all PACE obligations till January 2009. Otherwise, the authority of the Armenian delegation in PACE may be suspended.The resolution calls on Armenia to release the arrested persons whose guilt was not established, with exception for those privy to murders committed on March 1. The Armenian government is recommended to pass a law on amnesty. Besides, the resolution calls not to prevent conduction of rallies and demonstration. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
