Armenia mulls purchasing more Su-30 fighters from Russia February 14, 2019 - 11:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia may purchase more Su-30SM fighters from Russia, Defense Minister David Tonoyan told Wednesday, February 13’s briefing. As reported earlier, Armenia has already ordered four Su-30SM fighters. "Yes, we do not plan to be limited only by four units of this type of military equipment," Tonoyan said in response to a question about whether Armenia intends to purchase additional Su-30SM jets. The Defense Ministry told PanARMENIAN.Net earlier that Armenia’s possible acquisition JAS-39 Gripen fighter aircraft manufactured by the Swedish aerospace company Saab is currently under discussion.
