Armenia to participate in World Junior Figure Skating Championship in Sofia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Single skaters Sargis Hayrapetyan,17, and Armine Stamboultyan, 18, will represent Armenia at World Junior Figure Skating Championship due Sofia, Bulgaria, from Feb. 23 to Mar. 1.



"Hayrapetyan and Stamboultyan have been trained in Moscow since Aug. 17, 2008. We could nothing but send them to the Russian capital for a year because of repair works conducted at our stadium and absence of any other facilities for training", Samvel Khatchatryan, President of the Figure Skating Federation of Armenia told PanARMENIAN.Net



Sargis Hayrapetyan and Armine Stamboultyan participated in European Figure Skating Championship in Helsinki, though in the capacity of reserve players.
