Karabakh Ombudsman resigns to assume new role in government

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Human Rights Defender Artak Beglaryan has resigned to assume a new role in the government system, his office said Tuesday, December 22.

"The ombudsman's resignation comes after an offer to transfer to another position in the state system, given the challenges and needs [Karabakh is facing]," the Defender's office said.

Beglaryan has already submitted his letter of resignation to the President of the National Assembly of Karabakh and is expected to give a press conference on Wednesday.
