Deputy Speaker: You will shut your mouth, serve the Armenian nation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan believes "everyone got their answers" in the snap parliamentary elections held across the country on Sunday, June 20.

"The people of Yerevan, Lori, Syunik, Shurnukh, the Armenian nation gave you an answer. They said who the traitor is and who the surrender of land is, returned all the curses and threats back to you," Simonyan said in a Facebook post on Monday, in what appears to be a jab at the opposition.

"You will shut your mouth and serve the Armenian people the way we do. Except it will be a punishment for you and a source of pride for us."

Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won 53.92% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by second President Robert Kocharyan secured 21.04% of the ballots. "I Have Honor" bloc too will get seats in the parliament.
