Azeri forces open fire, attempt engineering work again

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani forces opened fire on Armenian positions in Yeraskh, Ararat province and attempted to carry out engineering work on Saturday, July 31 morning, the Defense Ministry reports.

The Armenian army troops took suppressive measures to silence the Azeris and stop the engineering work.

As of 11:00 am, the situation along the border is relatively stable and under the control of the Armenian Armed Forces.

In the wee hours of July 28, the Azerbaijani armed forces attacked the Armenian positions in Gegharkunik province, triggering local battles. Three Armenian troops were killed, five others were wounded in the process, the Defense Ministry said, adding that the Azerbaijani forces have been thwarted back to their positions. The Azerbaijanis fired on Armenian positions on July 29 too, injuring one more soldier.
