Armenia, India discuss North-South international transport corridorSeptember 17, 2021 - 12:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Indian Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Thursday, September 16 discussed the latest developments around the North-South international transport corridor, the Armenian side said in a press release. The two weighed in on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and agreed to start substantive discussions on cooperation in specific programs. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and India touched upon regional and international security issues. Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on the situation resulting from the incursion of the Azerbaijani armed forces into the sovereign territory of Armenia. In this context, the Minister commended India's principled position, as well as its continued support for a peaceful and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship. Minister Mirzoyan reiterated Armenia's position on supporting India in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and India took place in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, where Mirzoyan was participating in the works of the CSTO bodies.
